Do I have to wear a mask?
Yes. Face coverings are required at all times while inside an Aurora Public Library facility. You are welcome to eat/drink outside and come back in the library for the remaining time of your visit with your mask on.
Do I need to maintain six feet of social distance while in the library?
Yes. Markings on the floor will let you know where to walk in order to maintain safe social distancing standards. Please follow the signs and the directions of library staff and do not walk against the flow of foot traffic as indicated by the floor markings.
Can I visit the library any time I want?
One-hour appointments are available to visit the library Mondays & Tuesdays, 12 – 6 p.m.; Wednesdays & Thursdays, 12 – 8 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. - 2 p.m; and Sundays 1 – 5 p.m.. We also have hours for vulnerable populations, including seniors and those at a higher risk, on Mondays and Tuesdays, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
How long is a Browse & Go session?
One 60 minute session will be allowed per day. Please note, a total maximum limit of 60 minutes is allowed in the library which may include a combination of Browse & Go and Public Computer appointments.
How many sessions can I have in a day?
All customers are currently limited to one Browse & Go session per day.
Can I bring guests with me?
Each registration can include up to five people in total. You do not need to register each person in your group individually.
Can I register for a Browse & Go appointment without a library card?
Yes! Please register for an appointment online or call 630-264-4117.
How old do I have to be to register for an appointment?
Customers over the age of 8 are allowed to register for an appointment at this time.
Now that library buildings are open, can I still use curbside hold pickup?
Yes! Curbside hold pickup and drive-up service is still available at all locations. Please visit www.aurorapubliclibrary.org/curbside for more information.
Can I use a public computer at the library?

The item I want is currently on the shelf at one of your locations. How can I get it?
You have two options.
- Place the item on hold. You can do this online, or by calling 630-264-4117. Please allow up to 5 business days. You will receive a notification when your hold is ready to schedule a pickup time via curbside pickup or drive-thru service.
- Make a reservation to visit the library. You can do this online, or by calling 630-264-4117. Once you are ready to check out, please consider using the library app or a self-check machine.
What is available for children at the library?
Children’s areas are open for our Browse & Go service. Toys and other shared objects have been removed as a safety precaution. However, we do have Craft Kits available for curbside pickup.
