Join us for a fun and interesting opportunity for adults and students (16 and up) to learn more about climate change, a range of possible solutions, and their relative effectiveness at mitigating the problem. The group will discuss possible actions to address climate change and generate recommendations. Andy Panelli of Citizens’ Climate Education will show the group how their recommendations will impact climate change using an MIT/Sloan climate simulator that will model their proposed solutions “real-time”. We'll then discuss why an action may or may not be as effective a course of action as expected. New insights on the subject matter are guaranteed! Mr. Panelli will also talk about some current legislation being considered by Congress so the audience can learn about the impact of those actions.
