Join the Kane County Pre-Arrest Diversion team and its partners at a community forum to learn more about pre-arrest diversion and plans to expand implementation in Kane County.

The Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office Pre-Arrest Diversion initiative seeks to improve public safety and public health by diverting nonviolent offenders away from the criminal legal system. Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) has been successfully operating in Seattle since 2011, delivering a 58 percent reduction in recidivism as participants are connected to community-based services to help them achieve their goals, and currently operates in 65 jurisdictions across the country.
