Adult Literacy Project of Waubonsee Community College*
To strengthen literacy in our community, Waubonsee trains and places volunteers to provide English language tutoring to adults who want to improve their reading, writing and math skills, or learn English. Volunteer tutors work with students on an individual basis, or assist classroom instructors in High School Equivalency (HSE) and English Language Acquisition (ELA) classes.

The Changing Children’s Worlds Foundation (CCWF) mission is for every child and adolescent to be supported in positive development by caregivers and professionals within loving, non-violent families and peaceful communities. Through parent groups and educational workshops we strive to promote a sense of community and foster empathy.

The mission of Communities in Schools is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Their services include dropout prevention, mentoring, tutoring, before and after school programs, home visits, food, shelter, clothing, and utilities services.
TheDream.US is the nation’s largest college access and success program for DREAMers. They provide financial support to attend one of their partner colleges and are committed to their college completion.
Dominican Literacy Center*
Dominican Literacy Center programs help women learn to read, write, and speak English. They also help immigrant women and men prepare to pass their naturalization test and become new U.S. citizens.
Family Focus, Inc. offers innovative, community-based programs that help parents, grandparents, and foster and adoptive parents, gain confidence and competence as the primary educators of their children. They provide critical resources and learning opportunities, including free tutorials to learn English for Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Chinese, Portuguese and Korean speakers.

LITE creates experiential learning sessions for youth to gain skills and knowledge necessary to achieve self-sufficiency and upwardly mobile careers. Their services include education advocacy, case management, assessment, life planning, coaching, and skill training.
Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley*
Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley provides free, one-to-one literacy tutoring to adults in St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia, Elburn, Campton Township, LaFox, Lily Lake, Wasco, and Wayne, Illinois. Lessons help people learn to read, write, understand, and speak English.
The Merry Tutor*
The Merry Tutor is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free tutoring to K-12 students and offers high school students the opportunity to volunteer as tutors.
