Item Donation

Donated materials and proceeds from library book sales are used to support and enhance library initiatives. Thank you for your support!


Please note, starting September 1, 2024, the Eola Road Branch will no longer be taking donations of toys, games, and puzzles. 

To Donate Materials

  1. Bring items to the circulation desk at a branch location during normal hours
  2. Please limit the size of your donation to 2 boxes or bags per visit
  3. If you have a larger donation or questions about donating, please contact the library in advance
  4. Complete a donation form below OR print and submit to the library.

Please note, all donations become property of the library to be used as needed. Donations may be tax deductible; please check with your tax advisor. Upon request, staff will provide a receipt for number and type of items donated.

The Library Cannot Accept:

  • Wet, moldy, damaged, ripped, discolored, or smelly items
  • Books without covers
  • Discarded library materials
  • Encyclopedias
  • Textbooks
  • Magazines
  • Condensed books
  • Books more than 3 years old on law, medicine, travel, or computers
  • Cassette tapes of any kind

Additional Items

We may accept gently used toys that can be cleaned (no stuffed animals, no battery operated items) , puzzles (with all pieces available), or board games (with all pieces). Please contact the children’s department of the library you are interested in donating toys to see if we are able to accept at this time.


Additional Options

Items that are damaged or have outlived their usefulness can often be given new life through recycling. Please check with your local county recycling department for more information.
