Curious about plant-based eating? Ellen Svehla, leader of the Fox Valley Area Plant-Based Nutrition Group, will share more about this environmentally-friendly dietary approach and its benefits.

Plant-based eating has become increasingly popular in recent years due to its potential health and environmental benefits. By adopting a plant-based diet, you may be able to reduce your carbon footprint and the amount of water and land needed for food production.

This presentation will explore what plant-based eating is, resources, how to shop for plant-based food, recipes, and more.

This program will be presented by Ellen Violet Svehla, leader of the Fox Valley Area Plant-Based Nutrition Group. Ellen is a Certified Plant-Based Ambassador with WeDidIt health, and received her Plant-Based Nutrition Certification from ECornell University.

This branch shares the Eola Community Center buiding with the Fox Valley Park District. It offers a quiet reading room with a fireplace, study rooms and a family computer lab. The Eola Road Branch has public meeting rooms that may be used for community programs.
