N119 - Makerspace

Join us in the Makerspace for a hands-on demonstration of our sublimation printer! Choose from our collection of historic photos and take home two unique Aurora ceramic coasters. Ages 12+.

In this workshop, participants will get an introduction to the APLD Makerspace as well as the chance to use our new sublimation printer. We'll be making ceramic coasters using images from the library's historic photograph collection. Previously only available to view in our Local History Room, this fascinating collection is now freely available online through Illinois Digital Archives! Let's celebrate our shared history with our new 21st century technology. Bring a piece of Aurora home for a unique decor item, or give your coasters to a friend as an awesome gift!

Tours of the Local History Room with our Genealogy & Community History Librarian are included.

Registration will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 23.
