In this workshop, led by Ronald Lawless from the Association of Financial Educators, attendees will learn about how to recognize debt distress and ways to alleviate it.
This program is for people that are working through financial burdens. Attendees will learn how to recognize signs of debt distress and be able to define debt versus credit. Payday loans will be discussed, as well as good debt versus bad debt. Learn how to take control of your budget, prioritize payments, and find out what resources are available to you.
The Association of Financial Educators (AFE) is a nationwide 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational bureau comprised of financial professionals. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has chosen AFE as a member of their Your Money Your Goals cohort for two consecutive years.
