The Real ID Program is an initiative aimed at enhancing the security of identification cards and driver's licenses across the United States. This program sets federal standards for identification documents, ensuring they are more secure and harder to counterfeit. By incorporating features such as anti-counterfeiting technology and stringent identity verification processes, Real ID offers individuals a reliable form of identification that can be used for various purposes, including boarding domestic flights and entering federal facilities.
Registration and an APPOINTMENT will be required in order to obtain the Real ID. Participants should come early - LATE ARRIVALS WILL NOT BE SERVED.
For Registration and Appointment please email: Rbakshi@aurorapubliclibrary.org
Applicable fees for issuing Real ID will be charged by the IL Secretary of State. NO CASH PAYMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Fees for standard drivers license and Real ID are the same.
