Eola Road Branch

Quiet Reading Room

Celebrate Black History Month with storyteller Kelly Campos. She will share folk tales, fairy tales, and myths re-told with special musical instruments. Ages 4+ with a caregiver.

Taking tales from around the world and using the power of her voice and a drum, Kelly twists the Disney Default in fun and interesting ways. The show concludes with a mini drum demonstration.

Kelly Campos is a youth librarian in the south suburbs of Chicago. Born in Detroit, her story until now has taken her from ballet to Second City Detroit Mainstage, from rock & roll singer/songwriter to Kinko's copy specialist, and finally to the literary activism of librarianship. She believes in the power of stories to inspire, entertain, educate, and enlighten.
