Eola Road Branch
Celebrate Black History Month with storyteller Kelly Campos. She will share folk tales, fairy tales, and myths re-told with special musical instruments. Ages 4+ with a caregiver.
Taking tales from around the world and using the power of her voice and a drum, Kelly twists the Disney Default in fun and interesting ways. The show concludes with a mini drum demonstration.
Kelly Campos is a youth librarian in the south suburbs of Chicago. Born in Detroit, her story until now has taken her from ballet to Second City Detroit Mainstage, from rock & roll singer/songwriter to Kinko's copy specialist, and finally to the literary activism of librarianship. She believes in the power of stories to inspire, entertain, educate, and enlighten.

This branch shares the Eola Community Center buiding with the Fox Valley Park District. It offers a quiet reading room with a fireplace, study rooms and a family computer lab. The Eola Road Branch has public meeting rooms that may be used for community programs.
