Be among the first to see the new, original artwork inspired by our Community Voices initiative! Meet local artists, enjoy live music and snacks, contribute to a collaborative craft, & more.

Last fall, APLD invited artists to submit designs inspired by our Community Voices initiative, which gives community members a platform to share their stories. We asked for artwork that celebrates Aurora’s diverse community and reflects themes of storytelling, belonging, community strength, identity, connection, and social capital. We are excited to unveil the painting by the selected artist at this event!

Twenty artists—most from the Fox Valley area—submitted exciting and heartfelt proposals. Explore an exhibit that highlights artwork shared with display permission from the contributing artists. Thank you to all the artists for generously sharing their creativity with our community!

You will also have the opportunity to connect with local art organizations, sample bread from Chuck Approved Sourdough, and listen to live music performed by Community Voices alumni!
