Science educator Scott Johnson will share his photographs and memories of a family adventure 100 years in the making!
In 1912, Dwight Young set off on the Fox River from Oswego and canoed all the way down to the Illinois River in LaSalle. He captured his journey in a series of photographs. A century later, his great-grandson, Scott Johnson, found those photographs and embarked on the same trip.
Scott Johnson has been a high school science teacher for over a decade, where he teaches and inspires students to understand and appreciate the natural world around them. He's also a member of the Forest Foundation of Kendall County.
