Meeting Room 125/126 Combined, ASD Santori Zoom Room

Presenters from the Protect Our Care Illinois (POCIL) Coalition will discuss HR1's impact on Illinois residents with Medicaid, Affordable Care Act plans, and SNAP food assistance.

Tax policies determine the quality of our lives. Presenters from the Protect Our Care Illinois (POCIL) Coalition will discuss the impacts of HR1 on Illinoisans who have Medicaid, public health insurance plans, and Affordable Care Act private health insurance plans, as well as food assistance through the SNAP program. The discussion will include how the current tax structure disadvantages some while benefiting others, and how we can all work together to mitigate the damage HR1 will cause to our communities.

This program is in collaboration with the League of Women Voters Aurora Area.
