All ages are invited to come celebrate comics, cosplay, video games, and a variety of fandoms with programs, meetups, free comic books, face-painting, and more!

Welcome to our 7th annual CAPE (Comics And Pop Culture Extravaganza) Con! 
*Meet members of the 501st Legion (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.) and the League of Enchantment (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
*Visit the Cosplay Medic & Help Desk (10 a.m. - 3 p.m.) with costume Q&A, best practices, emergency repair help, and more.

*Super Friends Storytime (Room 125/126) Join us for a super fun storytime! For children of all ages and their caregivers. Costumes welcome!
*We Love Pokémon (Room 305) Start CAPE Con with your fellow Pokémon fanatics! This meetup will fill you with energy like a Meganium's Giga Drain! Trade cards, battle, and more.  
*Design & Draw Like a Pro (Room 224) Professional graphic designer and comics artist Winston Gambro will share his experiences and advice for anyone looking to make a career out of art! 

10:30 a.m.
*Amazing Face Painting (Kiwanis Children's Center) Celebrate your favorite superhero (or villain!) and have your face painted with a character logo by Zor Zapata. Children of all ages are welcome.
*Introduction to Game Design (Room 218) Join us to learn the fundamentals of game design and how you can get involved in the exciting world of game jams! 

11 a.m.
*Read-Along - Max & The Midknights (Room 125/126) Hear ye, hear ye! Do you dream of becoming a knight and/or want to share an adventurous tale with friends and fellow fans? We're put this bestselling graphic novel by Lincoln Peirce on the big screen!

*Tabletop Games Meetup (Room 224) Do you enjoy board games? Like playing trading card games? Join us for this special CAPE Con event celebrating the joys of tabletop gaming! 

12 p.m.
*Fandom Lounge & Cosplay Break Room (Room 305) Take a break in the Fandom Lounge in between CAPE Con festivities! This area will offer a place to relax and connect with others over snacks, trivia, and self-directed activities while supplies last. 
*Read-Along - Nimona (Room 125/126) Be swept away on a fantastical journey with plucky shapeshifter Nimona! This graphic novel is full of humor and adventure, perfect for tweens and families, and even more epic on our big screen.

12:30 p.m.
*How to Play a Tabletop Roleplaying Game (Room 332) Roll for fun! Come learn the basics of how to play TTRPGs. We will learn about creating characters, safe tables, and what dice to use.

1 p.m.
*Rootin' Tootin' Character Dance Party (Room 125/126) Yeehaw! Woody and Jessie are riding into town for a rootin'-tootin' good time. Join us for 30 minutes of dancing and fun, followed by a 30-minute meet and greet with these favorite characters. 

2 p.m.
*Introduction to Game Design (Room 218) Join us to learn the fundamentals of game design and how you can get involved in the exciting world of game jams! 
*Writing for Comics (Room 224) Jana Tropper, author of comics including Animal Rescue Friends, will lead writing exercises designed to teach us how to write comics and collaborate with artists.
*TTRPG Character Creation Workshop (Room 305) Get ready to roll! Interested in D&D or other roll playing games, but don't know where to start? Work with volunteers from our teen TTRPG club and the Aurora RPG club to make your own characters.

2:30 p.m.
*Let's Make Pokémon Fossils (Room 125/126) Inspired by paleontology and Pokémon characters, all ages are invited to create their own one-of-a-kind skeletons - made out of cotton swabs, paper, and glue dots! 

3 p.m.
*Super Mario Bros. Movie Showing (1993, PG) (Room 224) The popular video game comes to life as two plumbers (Bob Hoskins, John Leguizamo) plunge into a parallel universe ruled by the villainous King Koopa (Dennis Hopper).

3:30 p.m.
*Cosplay Fashion Show (Atrium) Show off your favorite Star Trek uniform, Sailor Moon suit, Thor costume, or whatever your favorite look- It's your time to shine! See and celebrate some amazing costumes & meet other cosplayers.
