Enjoy a glass of [non-alcoholic] prohibition punch and learn about the temperance movement in Aurora! We'll explore the political era of prohibition from the 1920s until its eventual repeal in 1933.

The temperance movement was active in Aurora long before the prohibition era of the 1920s. After the passage of the 18th Amendment, supporters of the movement suddently found themselves on the defensive for the first time. In this program, you'll learn how they navigated the frought political era of prohibition until its eventual repeal in 1933.

*Prohibition punch is a non-alcoholic drink inspired by Roxana Doran's 1930 recipe book "Prohibition Punches".
