Join us to celebrate National Bison Day! Come along with the Forest Preserve District of Will County (IL) and the USDA Forest Service as we learn about bison at Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie in nearby Wilmington & go across the United States to visit what is thought to be the largest historic buffalo jump in North America – First Peoples Buffalo jump in Ulm, Montana. Learn about explorers Lewis & Clark and their ties to bison. Find out how Bison are helping to heal the Illinois prairie right here in this area.
Please note that registration is required. Registrants will be sent a Zoom meeting invitation via email. You do not need a Zoom account in order to participate.
