Learn how to use online databases through the Aurora Public Library website to discover more about your family and about local history with this virtual program.
Learning about family history and genealogy allow us to feel closer to our past and give us a better sense of who we are. If you are interested in exploring your family history but don't know where to start, follow along with us as we learn about Ancestry Library Edition, one of many great online databases available through the Aurora Public Library District.
We will learn the best ways to search the database to find your relatives, and how to save the materials that you find to your computer or share them with friends and family. We will also take a look at how to search through the digital archives of the Chicago Tribune, for stories of local, national, or global interest.
