ASD West Zoom Room, Meeting Room

West Branch's monthly book discussion. For October, we're reading Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston.

Join us for West Branch's monthly book discussion group! We read a variety of contemporary fiction and non-fiction and meet once a month for a thought-provoking conversation.

Please register for in-person, as seating is limited. Contact discussion facilitator Dani Linn at dtlinn@aurorapubliclibrary.org for more information or for a Zoom link to join us virtually if you're new to the group.

Ask at the West Branch Circulation Desk for print copies; your copy will be on the hold shelf if you're registered.

Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston

One of the most important and enduring books of the twentieth century, Their Eyes Were Watching God brings to life a Southern love story with the wit and pathos found only in the writing of Zora Neale Hurston. Out of print for almost thirty years—due largely to initial audiences’ rejection of its strong black female protagonist—Hurston’s classic has since its 1978 reissue become perhaps the most widely read and highly acclaimed novel in the canon of African-American literature.
