Aspiring young writers are invited to submit short stories to be judged by a panel of APLD's children's librarians for creativity, style, and voice.

To commemorate National Novel Writing Month, aspiring young writers are invited to submit short stories of 1500 words or less to be judged by a panel of APLD's children's librarians for creativity, style, and voice. Two age groups will be judged: 3rd-5th grades and 6th-8th grades. Entries may be submitted any day in November. Entries may be submitted via email (see website) or in person to any APLD Children's Reference Desk. One winner per age group will receive a Grand Prize and winning stories will be published on the APLD website.
