N244 - Konopka Meeting Room

Join us for discussion and a presentation by the National Alliance on Mental Illness on mental health in the Black community.

For too long lack of information and stigma about mental health and wellness have been barriers that prevent people in the Black community from getting the support we all deserve. To make it safe and easy to talk about mental wellness, the National Alliance on Mental Illness is proud to be a pilot site for Sharing Hope.

Sharing Hope is a series that uses a menu of ‘conversation starter’ videos featuring real people sharing their own experiences, plus facilitator guides and other tools to organize welcoming, safe, and culturally competent “Community Conversations” that take on stigma and stereotypes, led by facilitators that belong to the Black community.
