Staff from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) will address common questions and concerns of first generation college students. Caregivers and students are welcome!
Transitioning to college can be a challenge for many students, but for students who will be the first in their family to obtain a college credential, it holds some additional challenges and issues.
In this program, we will discuss common questions and concerns of first generation college students along with highlighting the various campus resources available to help support students. Strategies and suggestions from others that have successfully navigated the college experience as a first generation college student are also shared.

This branch shares the Eola Community Center buiding with the Fox Valley Park District. It offers a quiet reading room with a fireplace, study rooms and a family computer lab. The Eola Road Branch has public meeting rooms that may be used for community programs.
