Ever wonder what the old downtown library looked like when it was first built? Curious about whether the library ever loaned record albums or Super 8 movies? Find your answers in this exhibit that will be displayed at Eola Road Branch throughout the month of May! Learn about how your library's collection, tech, and facilities have adapted over its 142 year history to meet the needs of its growing and ever-changing community. When the Carnegie library opened at Benton and Stolp Aves. in 1904, an article in the Aurora Daily News proclaimed, "Let every citizen feel that the Aurora public library is [their] own institution." While the world has changed drastically over the past century, that sentiment has remained constant. The library is your space, and we hope you feel that you belong here.

This exhibit will also be on display at West Branch in July!
