Are you a new entrepreneur or looking to start a business? Join Harriet Parker from the SBDC to learn how to develop a realistic plan to help you launch and run your business successfully.

Your business plan is the first step toward moving into business ownership; however, the idea of writing one can be overwhelming. This program is for new business owners and entrepreneurs in the community, or those simply looking for more information about small business planning.

In this workshop, Harriet Parker, Manager of the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Waubonsee, will explain how to develop a realistic plan to launch and grow your business.

Harriet will explore:

• The purpose of writing a business plan and why you need one
• The elements of a successful business plan – what information to include and what to leave out
• Business plan templates – where to find them and how to choose the one that is the best match for you and your business
• Where to find examples of business plans
