Eola Road Branch
Create a scarf and hat- just in time for cold weather and the holidays! This class will focus on half double crochet- Experience with chain and single crochet is required. All materials provided.
This intermediate crochet program is designed for those who have some experience with crochet and are looking to expand their skills. We may cover techniques such as working with different types of yarn and stitches, shaping and finishing projects, and possibly even designing your own patterns. It is a great way to take your crochet skills to the next level and create more complex and intricate projects. Stitches and techniques taught in this program may be used on other personal projects.
This program will be facilitated by experienced crochet artist Catherine Suchy, who is also a retired professor from Joliet Junior College and librarian from Joliet Public Library. Catherine took up crochet as an adult and was overjoyed with the artistry that yarn can achieve. As a former educator, Catherine mixed these elements together, and she has been teaching crochet for several years.
Registration will open at 9 a.m. on Monday, September 4.
