Eola Road Branch
Unsure what career may be for you? Georgia Koch, Community Outreach Coordinator from Career Vision, will help students & caregivers learn how to make informed decisions about potential career paths.
This program will equip students with tools and skills to help them succeed in their future careers. In a competitive job market, stand out with a solid foundation of knowledge, skills, and experiences. This program will explore career exploration, job shadowing, internships, resume writing, interviewing skills, and networking opportunities. It will also highlight the development of soft skills, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
Participating students may gain valuable insight into a variety of careers and industries, identify their strengths and interests, build professional networks, and acquire hands-on experience that can help them make informed decisions about their future career paths. Additionally, they may develop a sense of confidence and self-awareness that may help them navigate the challenges of college and beyond.
Teens and caregivers are welcome to attend individually and/or together, and this program will be offered in person and virtually via Zoom.
This branch shares the Eola Community Center buiding with the Fox Valley Park District. It offers a quiet reading room with a fireplace, study rooms and a family computer lab. The Eola Road Branch has public meeting rooms that may be used for community programs.
