Digital Services

Public Computers

Aurora Public Library cardholders are currently entitled to one session on the computer each day.
Non-resident cardholders are given guest passes at the Digital Services Desk. Visit our Internet and Computer Policy for more information.

Where are the computers located?

At Santori Library, you can find our public computers in the second-floor lab. At West Branch, public computers are located on tables in the center of the library. At Eola Road Branch, public computers can be found in the computer lab across the hall from the main library.

How long is a public computer session

One 2 hour session will be allowed per day.

Can I use the public computers without a library card?

Yes. Library staff will provide you with a temporary pass that will allow you one-time access to the computer.

Chromebooks

Chromebooks are available for checkout for use in the library for two-hour increments and for use outside the library for one week.  

Chromebooks are available at the Courtesy Services/Circulation Desk on a first-come, first-served basis.

Customers are allowed to borrow one Chromebook at a time for 1 week (7 days) with no renewals.

The late fee for a Chromebook returned after the time due is $5/day with maximum of $20.

A Chromebook may be checked out by a customer (11 years old or older) with a valid Aurora Public Library card.
Customers may not install software on Chromebooks

Customers may not alter or delete any settings or configurations.

Customers are responsible for damage to or loss of Chromebooks and accessories as a result of accident, theft, misuse or neglect.

Customers are expected to report loss of or damage to the Chromebook or accessories to Courtesy/Circulation desk staff. Replacement cost for a damaged Chromebook may be between $200 and $300.

Customers should familiarize themselves with the Internet and Computer Use policy and all other applicable library policies.

Mobile Hotspots

Hotspots are also available at the library for 24/7 internet access from anywhere!

  • A hotspot may be checked out by a customer (11 years old or older) with a valid Aurora Public Library card.
  • Hotspots can be checked out for 1 week.
  • Hotspots are not eligible for renewal.
  • All components (hotspot, cord, charger, and two piece case) must be present upon return for the library to consider the item checked in.
  • Please return Hotspots to a staff member at the Courtesy Services desk.

Scanning & Faxing

Scanning and faxing services are available in multiple languages.

  • Scan to a USB device, smart phone, email, OneDrive, Google Drive, or Drop Box.
  • Scan to PDF, spdf, Word, tiff, jpeg or png
  • Scan black and white, grayscale or color
  • Scan text to audio
  • Text translation
  • Fax 
    • $1.50 per page
       

 eSports

Registered library card holders can use the esports machines for 90 minutes with two 15-minute extensions (if no one else is waiting).

  • Outside controllers are not supported
  • Personal Roblox, Blizzard, and STEAM accounts are welcome
  • Please do not unplug any equipment
