Learn about Afro-Latines rich history in connection to L.A. and Chicagoland. Conoce la rica historia de los afrolatinos en relación con Los Ángeles y Chicago.

Join us for an enlightening event that will delve into the rich history of the Afro-Latine community and its connections to major U.S. cities. Nicole Murph, Reference and Instruction Librarian at the William H. Hannon Library, Loyola Marymount University, will guide us through the historical ties and influences of the Afro-Latine community in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Katherine Mendoza-Gonzalez, Spanish Services Librarian at Santori Library, will illuminate the connections and cultural impact of this vibrant community in the Chicagoland area.

In addition to the engaging presentations, explore our Afro-Latine exhibit in the Atrium. This event is set to be both educational and celebratory, offering a deeper understanding of the Afro-Latine heritage and its significance in two dynamic regions. Don't miss this unique opportunity to learn and celebrate the diverse cultural landscape of our nation.
