Join us to learn more about Diwali, a five-day festival of lights celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, some Buddhists, and more. Then, enjoy decorating a clay lamp to take home.
Get ready- This year, Diwali will be celebrated from Saturday, October 22, to Wednesday, October 26. In this program, we will explore Diwali's history, mythology, and cultural significance and learn how Diwali is often celebrated with good food, fireworks, colored sand, and special candles and lamps.
Our presenter will be Ravi Avasarala, who was born and raised in India and has been an Aurora resident since 2004.
